Please see below project update for the Marblehead Elementary School: 

• The metal panel contractor will continue with installation of the standing seam panel assembly on the South elevations of the building.
• The metal panel contractor to receive the delivery of equipment screens on Monday 5/10/21.  Installation of these materials to commence this week.
• The metal window contractor will continue with the installation of the translucent system on the South & East elevations of Area C and the skylight on the roof level of Area A & B.  
• Resilient Flooring materials are being delivered to the project site this week.  Flooring mock-up and production installation to commence on the second level of Areas A & B.
• Prime painting activities shall continue on the first level on Areas A & B.
• Installation of ceiling grid shall continue on the first level on Areas A & B.
• The elevator contractor is continuing with installation of the elevator system in Area B.  The construction of the masonry door fronts to be constructed this week.  
• Production sheetrocking & taping activities in the Cafeteria & Gym areas will continue on the first level of Area C.
• Piping rough-in and connections to the equipment located in the Mechanical Room will continue this week.  Insulation of piping activities will continue in this space.
• Backfill and subgrade prep around the perimeter of the building will continue along the East elevation of the building.
• Site clean-up and grading activities will continue on the North elevation of the building.  Note this activity may require the use of a hammer drill at irregular intervals to break-up potential  spots of ledge that need to be taken down to support this work activity.
• Site demo, sub-grade prep and grading to commence at the Gate D entrance to the project site. 
• Finish grading activities shall commence on Tuesday 5/11.  The placement of asphalt binder at areas not previously completed will be placed tentatively Thursday 5/13 or Friday 5/14.   
• The concrete flatwork contractor has mobilized this week and commenced the forming and reinforcing of exterior concrete flatwork (dumpster pad, generator pad & sidewalks).  Concrete placements to tentatively begin on Thursday 5/13.   
• Marblehead Light Department is tentatively scheduled to continue switch over of utility lines to the new utility pole on the project site.  Note this work activity is weather dependant. 

The project will be working on the site this Saturday 5/8/21.  Activities will consist of the following:

• Metal Window contractor will be working on the translucent panel installation on the exterior of Area C of the building .  The work crew will be utilizing power tools and aerial lifts at times through out the day to support the work activities.  This exterior work will not commence until 8AM.
• Electrical contractor will installing light fixtures in the classrooms on the second level of Area A/B in the building.
• General trades contractor will be working on sheetrocking activities in Area C of the building.
• Taping contractor will be working on taping and finishing sheetrocking activities on the first floor of Area C on the interior of the building.

This Saturday work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with both the Marblehead Building Department & Police Department.

• Piping rough-in and connections to the equipment located in the Mechanical Room will continue this week.  Insulation of piping activities have commenced in this space.
• Grading and drainage stone along the South elevation of the new parking lot will commence this week.
• Backfill and subgrade prep around the perimeter of the building will continue along the East elevation of the building.
• Site clean-up and grading activities will continue on the North elevation of the building.
• Site contractor will cut/cap and/or connect the water, sewer and drainage utilities at the intersection of Baldwin and Jane Road.  Coordination with Marblehead's Department of Public Works is on-going to support these work activities.  Grading and sub-grade preparation in this same area will follow the completion of the utilities.
• The project received the first delivery of vertical granite curb today 4/26.  Installation of the curbing will commence this week and will be focused at the perimeter of the building footprint to support future concrete sidewalk construction.
