The project has two (2) concrete slab on deck placements scheduled for Tuesday 9/15 and Thursday 9/17 of this week.  The project has coordinated and reduced these placements sizes with the concrete contractor to help decrease the duration of these work activities.  It is very typical in the industry that concrete slab on deck and concrete on grade placements require extended work hours to properly complete the work activity.

Below is the tentative schedule for both concrete placement days.  Note the below periods of time are tentative and subject to change based on concrete service, weather and other potential unforeseen issues.

6:30AM – Concrete Pump Truck Mobilizes Onsite

7:00AM – 12:30PM – Place & Pump Concrete to Floor & Roof Decks

  • Approximately (22) Concrete Trucks will be accessing the project site to support this concrete placement

12:30PM – 4:00PM – Commence Concrete Finishing Activities.

  • Gas powered finishing equipment will be utilized during this period.

4:00PM – 5:00PM – Third Party Quality Control – Flatness Testing

5:00PM – 6:00PM – Cover the Concrete Slab with Curing Paper

  • Temporary light towers may be required to safely light the work area during this time period

6:00PM – 8:00PM – Contingency Period for Potential Delays - Concrete Service, Weather Effecting Cure Times, Etc.

This work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with both the Marblehead Building Department & Police Department.
