Please see below project update for the Elbridge Gerry Elementary School:

• Continue with site prep and fills using onsite material at the South & West areas of the project site. 
• Continue with bulk ledge excavation and export (trucking) the ledge materials offsite.  The excavation will occur on the North end of the new building footprint and is scheduled to continue through the next two weeks of the project.    
• Complete the lay-out activity on the lower level of the site to support the ground improvement work.
• Complete the ground improvement activities on the lower level of the site.  This acvitivity is scheduled to be complete on Wednesday 6/24.  
• Commence excavation and prep for concrete foundations on the South end of the building.  This is in preparation for the concrete foundation contractor to mobilize on 7/6/20.
• The ground improvement equipment is scheduled to demobilize from the site on Thursday 6/25.  This will be an early morning demobilization due to the size and weight of the equipment.  Please see seperate post for more details on this activity.

• The ledge crushing equipment is scheduled to be demobilized offsite on Tuesday 6/16.
• Continue with site prep and fills using onsite material at the South & West areas of the project site. 
• Continue with bulk ledge excavation and export the ledge materials offsite.  The excavation will occur on the North end of the new building footprint and is scheduled to continue through the next three weeks of the project.    
• Continue the lay-out activity on the lower level of the site to support the ground improvement work.
• Commence the ground improvement activities on the lower level of the site.  This acvitivity is scheduled to continue through the weeks of 6/15 and 6/22.
• Please note the onsite ledge crushing activities have been completed for the project the week of 6/8/20. 

The onsite ledge crushing activities are scheduled to be completed Friday 6/12/20.  The contractor will begin demobilizing the equipment Monday 6/15 and preparing it for transport on Tuesday 6/16.  Please see below detailed schedule of activites for these two days:

• Monday - 6/15/20 
  • Demobilize stacker unit (conveyor equipment), load it for transport and remove from site after 8AM.
  • Begin dismantling ledge crushing equipment during normal work hours.

• Tuesday - 6/16/20
  • Complete dismantle of ledge crushing equipment and prepare it for transport.
  • Transport personnel will be onsite by 3PM to load the equipment for transport.  The transport personnel will wait until dusk; approx 8PM to exit the project.  The equipment will exit the project site via Gate C to West Shore Drive to Route 114.
  • The is evening departure was coordinated and scheduled to mitigate an early morning 3AM-7AM departure.

This evening equipment departure has been communicated and coordinated with the Marblehead Police Department.

• Complete hauling of the existing loam materials offsite.
• Complete hauling of existing asphalt, metal and tree stump materials offsite. 
• Continue & Complete ledge crushing activities on the North end of the project site, adjacent to the wooded area.     
• Site contractor will continue to support, stock pile and hauling of blasted and excavated rock onsite.
• The ledge crushing equipment is scheduled to be disassembled at the end of this week and will be scheduled to be demobilized offsite the week of 6/15.
• Continue with site prep and fills using onsite material at the South & West areas of the project site.    
• Continue with the installation of underground water main within the project site.  The water main connection in Baldwin Road was completed on Friday 6/5.
• Continue with sub-grading activities on the lower level of the site to support the ground improvement work.
• Commence the lay-out activity on the lower level of the site to support the ground improvement work.
• Please note the ledge drilling & activities have been completed for the project the week of 6/1/20. 

The scheduled water shutdown for Thursday on Baldwin Road has to be rescheduled to Friday June 5, 2020.  This is due to an unidentified/unknown underground utility line found during todays excavation effort.  The work crew will continue to be  working in Baldwin Road on Thursday in preparation for the shutdown and connection activity on Friday.  The water shutdown will between the hours of 8AM-3PM pending no further issues during the work.     

This revised work schedule has been scheduled and coordinated with the Marblehead Water & Sewer Department.  Project team members went door to door providing a revised notice this afternoon to the affected properties.
